Foglia D’Oro
E-Commerce content and copy
Introduction
-
In July 2021, I worked on a luxury floral boutique website. I was assigned the UX copy for the website product requirement.
-
The client sold flowers online for large catering events, but they needed their website to have visibility. The tone of the website also asked for a show of elegant, well-put text copy.
-
I had to optimise and curate the website content and write the taglines by incorporating SEO techniques in the process and coming away with a more free-flowing and natural progression of the viewer’s perspective.

Create the UX Copy for a website to gain online visibility using SEO techniques
Optimum SEO
We used a priority system that would determine how many keywords were to be inserted into the copy and I made sure that those keywords showed in the website.
Changing UX Copy
I collaborated heavily with my manager, who conferred with the client regarding the work.
We went over every bit of content and optimised the SEO with as many front-loaded keywords as possible without stilting the copy content.

Takeaways
-
Researching UX copy brought this to the front of my mind - no matter how good the design is, at some point the users have to engage with the content as well.
-
The average user does not linger too long on any website. It meant that every character I used gained more importance, and thus needed to be thought out carefully.
Impact
-
The UX copy of the website improved the visibility of the website.
